Read John 7:40-8:11
This week I pray that you will be encouraged to follow Jesus’ example and his teachings.If you’ve never made the decision to follow Jesus he’s inviting you to do so and then be baptized in water. He tells all believers in the great commission to be baptized. Matthew 28:19-20 Therefore, go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit and teaching them to obey everything that I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.
We’ll be having a baptism service to be obedient to Christ after the church service on June 29th. Anyone who has never been baptized since putting their faith in Jesus is invited to be baptized that day in the Rupp’s pond next door. Please reach out to Pastor Eli ahead of time if you are interested in being baptized yourself. We’ll be having our 5th Sunday church Potluck that day after the baptisms and will be celebrating together. Please invite your friends and families to this celebration.
Make a decision to follow Jesus and also pray for others who you know to make the decision to follow Jesus. And lastly let us be like Jesus and not condemn the sinners around us but show them mercy. Share Jesus with them and help them to come to know him, and then when they come to faith, disciple them to be more like Jesus, leaving their lives of sin.
