Salvation and Baptisms

When you receive Christ you are born again into the family of God, you are forgiven of all of your sins, you are seen as holy and blameless in God’s sight, you are baptized into the body of Christ, and God the Holy Spirit dwells within you.

You are given an eternal inheritance with Christ. You are made a citizen of the Eternal kingdom of God meaning that you will live forever with him in eternity. This world no longer is your home, you will live with the Lord forever when your days here are done.

All these things are promises that God has given to us in his word of the rewards of receiving Jesus and following him.

All that God asks in return is that believers follow him. Follow him. As a child of God with citizenship in God’s eternal kingdom we are given the responsibility to live as if you are part of a different kingdom, learning by discipleship to obey God’s will and instructions for your life.

When you receive Jesus all of this happens in a moment. The responsibility to follow him comes later but everything else happens the moment you believe in Jesus Christ.

So how do you receive Jesus? To receive all of these things I just talked about, you must be born again. To be born again is something God does in you when you repent, believe, confess, and ask.

Repent: Repenting of your sins means to confess them to God and decide to turn from them.

Believe: Believing in Jesus is just that, accepting Jesus is God, that he died on the cross for your sins, and that he was raised from the dead, defeating death. To believe in Jesus is to make him the Lord of your life.

Confess: Declare aloud for all to hear that Jesus is your Lord

Ask: Ask for the Lord Jesus to come into your life and lead you in his ways.

If you would like to be born again, Pray this prayer with belief and be born again.

Lord today, I confess my sins to you today and choose to turn away from them.

Jesus I believe that God raised you from the dead after you died on the cross for my sins. Jesus I put my faith in you. I choose to believe in you today and for the rest of my life. Today I confess and declare, Jesus is my Lord. Lord please come into my life today. I pray these things in Jesus name amen.
